about

hello, my name is jackie stauffer.

I'm a Boston native, living in New York for the past 11 years. I'm 33, an old millennial as I like to say. After high school, I went looking for a culture change and spent 4 years at Tulane in New Orleans; best.city.ever. I was charmed by the southern warmth, people and culture. I still visit at least once a year.

After spending the time since graduation working for luxury lifestyle brands (Estee Lauder, Equinox and Food52) and getting hitched to the best man I know (he's a gen-x-er), it's time to share my voice in another way. How to be a grownup is the narrative I wish existed when I was learning how to be a grownup. So I'm passing on what I've learned, and hope you will too.

If you're still reading, here are a few of my favorite things: ice cream, the beach, my husband, working out (barre and SoulCycle to be specific), traveling to new places, baking, true crime (books, TV and movies), flowers, seeing friends, blankets throughout all seasons, comfortable clothing, gardens, summer, butterflies, and most importantly, but rare, real rainbows.
